Fisher Hall

Built in 1952 to house seniors, Fisher Hall’s construction was funded by Sally Fisher, who dedicated the hall to her husband, Fred Fisher, a former member of the University’s Board of Trustees. Forty percent of Fisher Hall’s rooms are singles, which means that seniors who “float” for singles are often placed in this residence hall. Fisher Hall was renovated in 2001 and now offers new social space as well as a new chapel.

The hall sponsors the annual Fisher Regatta, a boat race held at Saint Mary’s Lake that features homemade vessels from all of Notre Dame’s dormitories.
