Hi, I’m Dave from Massachusetts. Welcome to the Jordan Hall of Science.
Jordan is home to the College of Science here at Notre Dame. Seventeen percent of the undergraduate student body is part of the College of Science.
As one of the largest academic buildings on campus, Jordan is home to offices, study space, classrooms, forty undergrad research labs, a museum, a digital theater and even a rooftop observatory. All forty labs here are specialized by discipline, so an ecology lab will be completely different from a genetics lab which will be completely different from an analytical chemistry lab like we’re in right now.
The digital visualization theater in the Jordan Hall of Science is more than just a high tech planetarium. Notre Dame is the only research university in the country to have one like it. Professors can take students through the galaxy or even through a human blood vessel.
