Guglielmino Athletics Complex

One of the outstanding campus facilities for student-athletes and the Notre Dame Department of Athletics was made possible by funding from the Guglielmino family. Since opening in 2005, this 96,000-square-foot complex has affectionately been nicknamed the Gug (“goog”). It is adjacent to the Loftus Sports Center, a home for soccer, lacrosse, and track and field.

Much of the space in the Gug is dedicated to Fighting Irish football, including coaches’ offices and meeting rooms and the team’s practice-week locker rooms. But the complex also offers an advanced sports medicine section plus strength and conditioning and weight room equipment areas for all 800 Notre Dame student-athletes.
