Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore

The bookstore, built in 1998 and adjacent to the Eck Visitors’ Center, is a major campus destination for fans on football game-day weekends and a hub of good literature and camaraderie throughout the year. Managed by Barnes and Noble College, the store has increased the amount of space devoted to reading materials of all sorts, including course texts, classics, religious and spiritual reading and materials, current fiction and nonfiction best-sellers, and periodicals.

This is an ideal meeting place, with a café and comfortable seating. During football weekends, it becomes a center of community life where cheerleaders and other student groups perform and where authors of Notre Dame-related books offer their autographs.
