Jenkins Hall

On the east side of Notre Dame Avenue next to the Hesburgh Center for International Studies, Jenkins Hall and Nanovic Hall are adjoining buildings for international institutes and the social sciences. Jenkins Hall houses Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs, the University’s first new college or school in nearly a century, as well as the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies, the Klau Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Pulte Institute for Global Development, the Ansari Institute for Global Engagement with Religion, the McKenna Center for Human Development and Global Business, and provides space for the Kellogg Institute for International Studies and Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. Nanovic Hall houses the Nanovic Institute for European Studies and the Keough School's Mediation Room, which serves as an educational space modeled after the United Nations.

The University received a 2018 Acanthus Award from the ICAA for the excellence of classical design of Jenkins and Nanovic Halls. The award recognizes the buildings’ timeless quality that is at once traditional and contemporary.
