Rolfs Aquatic Center

Since 1985, a facility adjacent to the northeast side of the Joyce Center field house has been the campus home for men’s and women’s varsity swimming and diving and for the water polo club. A 50-meter Olympic swimming pool allows for multiple events to occur simultaneously, thanks to moveable bulkheads.

This state-of-the-art natatorium provides seating for 400 people, plus a giant video and replay screen. Offices for coaches are alongside the pool. The facility also provides recreational swimming for students and employee families at set times. Like the Rolfs Sports Recreation Center just to the north, the aquatic center was the gift of brothers Thomas Rolfs ’44 and Robert Rolfs ’50.
